Fourteen clinics will not be built out of goodwill alone.
We need clinicians, components, rooms, and money — in roughly that order. If you can supply any of them, tell us what you have and we will tell you honestly whether we can use it.
What we need
These are listed in the order they block us. A funded clinic with no prosthetist fits nobody.
Prosthetists and therapists
Prosthetists, orthotists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Inside Syria, or abroad and willing to train our technicians remotely, review cases, or teach a short residential course. Certification to ISPO standards is useful but not required to start a conversation.
Components and materials
Feet, knees, pylons, adapters, liners, sockets, thermoplastics, casting supplies, and 3D-printing filament and hardware. New or surplus. Manufacturers willing to discuss humanitarian pricing are the single fastest way to increase how many people we can fit in a year.
Space and equipment
Hospitals, universities and clinics that can house a fitting room and a small workshop. A room with power, water and a door that locks is enough to start. We also need benches, ovens, vacuum formers, alignment jigs and parallel bars.
Funding
Foundations, institutional donors, diaspora groups, mosques, churches and companies. Funding a named clinic, a technician's salary for a year, or the transport costs that get rural patients to an appointment are all useful and all easy to report on.
Logistics and customs
Freight forwarders, customs brokers and anyone who has moved medical goods into Syria recently. Getting a pallet of knees from a port to a workshop is frequently harder than getting it donated.
Introductions
If you cannot give any of the above but you know someone who can, that is worth as much. Most of what an organisation this young needs is a first meeting with the right person.
